Nigel Morton is a landscape photographer based in
north London. His interest in photography began when
he started shooting live bands, and underwater
images. Being able to combine photography with his
two other passions, music and diving, seemed perfect.
However after a few flooded underwater housings and
flashguns smashed by stages divers, it became clear
that his love for the great outdoors would take over.
He now dedicates most of his time creating beautiful
landscape photographs.
Although the majority of his photography is
undertaken in the south east of England, he has
travelled extensively crafting scenic images of the
UK's landscape and coastline. Some of his most recent
work has been for UK national newspapers and
advertising campaigns.
Nigel is currently immersed in a two-year personal
project photographing Epping Forest. Covering almost
6,000 acres, the forest is the largest public open
space in the London area. The project began as an
exercise to make some intimate woodland photographs,
but quickly developed into an obsession with the
area. Nigel estimates the length of the project to
last at least two years.
