To investigate methods of creating a light source that can be used as a safety device for cyclists. The device will not use batteries as its source of power.
Current alternative methods of generating power for a bike light will be investigated along with other possible forms of power generation.
The lights are to be used by commuters, leisure cyclists etc. They are not to be used in extreme off road conditions.
After the possible methods have been researched, prototypes will be built and tested to refine the design.
